Save 20% On Life Membership By Inviting Partner As Guest

Whilst two lifetime partners living at the same address can get Joint Life membership with National Trust, you can save around 20% by paying for an Individual Life membership and inviting your partner as a free guest. Just bear in mind that your membership will only support the upkeep of NTS properties.

Carers or Companions Go Free

Up to 2 Carers or companions can get free entry to National Trust properties. Get an Essential Companion Card to make the entry process quicker and simpler.

Andrew’s Top Ways To Save on National Trust

First, check the list of National Trust properties to make sure you’re interested in enough to warrant membership. The Pay-As-You-Go option might make more sense for you if you’re an infrequent visitor.

If you want to become a member, check Joint, Family, Senior and Life membership options (detailed above), bearing in mind any concessions and free guests, to see if any of those options make sense for you.

Given National Trust is a charity, you can opt for Gift Aid when you pay if you’re an eligible UK taxpayer. This allows National Trust to reclaim some of the tax paid on your donation, increasing its value at no extra cost to you. High earners can also reduce their tax bill this way.
